The far-right candidate has shown, Sunday, in Paris, as the man of the “vote of truth” against the useful vote, at fourteen days of the first round.

Under an overwhelming sun, Eric Zemmour has managed to fill the place of Trocadero, he who ambited to make his gigantic meetings at the foot of the Eiffel Tower “the biggest demonstration of this campaign”. “You are 100,000! 100,000 French who do not recoil before anything,” he clarified, Sunday, March 27th.
What does it matter that its director of events, Olivier Ubéda, mocked a week earlier candidates to “Pipeaiter on the numbers” – how to refute the 100,000 participants claimed at the trocadero by Nicolas Sarkozy in May 2012, or The 200,000 posted by François Fillon in March 2017. “Question of square meters”, had justified Ubéda. Eric Zemmour has brought together tens of thousands of sympathizers: an exalted crowd claims on the right, and of any age, strollers included, turned into tidal of tricolor flags.
Two words have threw a disturbing shadow on this gathering: “Macron Assassin”. Throughout the afternoon, the crowd had taken over the rhythm of the vindictive slogans: “macron ass fucked!”, “We fuck it!”, “On the plane!”, “Outside the Arabs!”, ” France to the French “…
Men’s parent clips killed by men on behalf of foreign consonance have been broadcast on giant screens. Then, at 4:40 pm Eric Zemmour quotes the murders of Sarah Halimi and Mireille Knoll, and evokes the aggression by “railing”: “You think it’s you who must have shame. But no, it’s the ‘State that should be ashamed! I am here to fight against fatality! “Suddenly, the crowd takes in choir:” Macron Assassin! “Eric Zemmour stops, twelve long seconds, the time to leave the slogan ringing ten times. Then he resumes the thread of his speech.
A “Vital Vote”
Very quickly, many politicians – the party candidate the Republicans (LR), Valérie Pécresse, the President of the LR Group at the National Assembly, Damien Abad, his counterpart for the Republic in March (LRM), Christophe Castaner, or the President (LRM) of the National Assembly, Richard Ferrand – have denounced sometimes “a delirium”, sometimes “a shame for democracy and the Republic”.
The campaign team of the far-right candidate ended up indicating to the press that Eric Zemmour “had not heard and that he would not resume the expression”, before specifying that he condemned her.
A more diffuse embarrassment has hovered on the trocadero. The reconquest candidate! At length galvanized his audience and, beyond, the mass of those who follow him on social networks: “Nothing or nobody will prevent us from writing the destiny of our country! Nothing or no one will fly this election!” claimed “a life-size survey, a foretaste of the surprise to come”, and insisted on the usefulness of the last two weeks of mobilization. “The time press, he repeated, it’s midnight less than a quarter.”
