For the first time, the Hebrew state welcomes four members of the Arabic league simultaneously.

The foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Bahrain, three signatory countries in 2020 of the Abraham agreements, as well as the Egyptian head of diplomacy went to Sde Boker, in the Israeli desert of the NegueV, Sunday, March 27, for a summit meeting with their American and Israeli counterparts. The participants arrived at the dropper with their delegations, often by helicopter. A dinner has been organized and the work sessions took place, the next morning. A joint statement had to be delivered Monday night.
This meeting is historic, and it is a great blow for Israel: this is the first time that the Hebrew state can boast of having welcomed four members of the Arabic league simultaneously. Everything is symbolic in this meeting yet organized at a speed. The place, first: SDE Boker is one of the last kibbutz still active in the country, partly thanks to the income of tourism. It is known especially for being the principal residence of David Ben Gurion, for the last twenty years of his life. SDE Boker is the center of the vision of the Father of Hebrew State: that of a desert that blooms, a perennial Zionism, optimistic, unifying, not the one who does not know how to choose between occupation and annexation of the West Bank.
Then there is the date on March 27. It falls for twenty years exactly after the signature in Beirut of the Arab League Peace Initiative. This roadmap, adopted by the Palestinians, proposed the normalization of relations with Israel, in exchange for a two-state solution and the right of the return of refugees. This summit is therefore a foot of nose, perhaps involuntary, to the Arab solidarity on which the Palestinians have been very mise to advance their cause.
Iranian nuclear
This summit occurred while negotiations to revive the Iranian nuclear agreement, buried in its time by Donald Trump, seem to progress. In 2015, when the initial compromise had been signed, the Israeli Prime Minister of the time, Benyamin Netanyahu, had made feet and hands to torpediller, arguing that he had an existential threat to the Hebrew state. His successors are more pragmatic: they are aware of the negative impacts that had about relations with the Obama administration and do not seek to repeat the exercise. More importantly, perhaps: the Israeli leadership has become aware that Iran has come closer to the nuclear threshold since the United States came out of the agreement.
