Medicare: personal data for more than 500,000 French stolen

The accounts of at least 19 health professionals on the Amelipro portal have been compromised by one or more computer hackers.

Data for at least 510,000 French were stolen recently to health insurance at the end of several hacks, announced the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) Thursday, March 17 in a communiqué .

Depending on the organization, e-mail addresses of several health professionals have been compromised, allowing one or more unidentified people to access at least 19 accounts on the Amelipro portal. Using automated tools, the hacker or hackers then sucked the data of more than 500,000 insured on this portal.

Among the data concerned are the name, first name, date of birth, sex and social security number of people. Other data were also stolen as the tracting physician declaration or state-of-the-art medical information, adds CNAM.
