Some protesters who had gone down on the streets of Bastia, Sunday, March 13, hold the French state responsible for the coma in which Yvan Colonna is located. Since the independence activist, condemned for the murder of the Prefect Erignac, was assaulted by a codettee on March 2, part of the Corsican nationalists blame the state of ignoring the requests for the transfer of the independence.
Between life and death for almost fifteen days, Yvan Colonna has many supports on his birth island. Among them, some have violently confronted, once again, the police, Sunday, March 13th. A tax hotel has also been burned. A few days earlier, in Ajaccio, in South Corse, the courthouse had been inflamed.
“We all call calm”, assures Jean-Jacques Pescetti, demonstrating in the bastian procession. “Never nobody is for violence. The only problem is that here there is only that walking,” he regrets. The Prime Minister, Jean Castex, lifted the status of “particularly reported” for Yvan Colonna, then for two other members of the commando Erignac, Alain Ferrandi and Pierre Alessandri, in recent days.
