The French Benjamin Daviet won Saturday the money in cross-country crossroads (standing category) at the Beijing Paralympic Winter Games. The 32-year-old Haut-Savoy, Native of Annecy, was advanced on the thread by Chinese Wang Chenyang on the slopes of the Nordic site of Zhangjiakou.

“I’m really happy with this silver medal. I think I did not have the crazy sensations I had yesterday. I was a little tired after a complicated night,” said Benjamin Daviet . “I’m doing a good race (…) I’m missing anything at all, it should be played three or four centimeters. It’s like that, it’s the sport, we can not win any either.” / P>

France 4 e in the ranking

French flag carrier at the opening ceremony, Benjamin Daviet had already won the Paralympic title in Sprint Wednesday, before winning gold in individual long distance biathlon on Friday. It will play again Sunday, the last day of the Beijing Paralympic Games, the cross-country ski relay.

“We are always transcended on the relay,” the sportsman said. “There, we have a solid team (…) All the staff is at the top. We will really get tamps to get this medal.”

France now has ten medals (including six gold). It retains its 4 e place in the country rankings.
