Tribune. Mr. President of the French Republic and candidate for the next presidential election, Corsica is reviving dark hours, suspended at the last breath of life of a man, Yvan Colonna, convicted of the murder of the Prefect Erignac [in 1998 And incarcerated for nineteen years as a result of three trials and a referral to the European Court of Human Rights for the presumption of innocence. This prisoner, who was the most sought-after man in France, in the status of particularly reported inmate (DPS) [status lifted on March 8 by Prime Minister Jean Castex], was the subject of an attempt to assassinate the March 2 in the gym of the Prison of Arles (Bouches-du-Rhône). His aggressor, DPS too, is a jihadist considered particularly violent by the prison administration. He filled auxiliary missions, specifically incompatible with his status.
yvan colonna, 61 years old, was thus struck several times by this 36-year-old man who crushed her throat with her foot, then smothered with towels and a plastic bag to which he had access in the frame his duties. This scene, however filmed by the surveillance cameras, lasted several minutes in the absence of any third party, the guards being intervened, according to the penitentiary administration itself, only when the author of the aggression there Invited [he pointed out to them that the prisoner Corsican had made a “discomfort”]. Yvan Colonna is, at the moment, between life and death, in a very serious state and, at the moment when you read this open letter, no one knows how to evolve his condition. The announcement of this incredible aggression caused a shock wave in Corsica, raising several questions.
First, questions about the facts:
- how a Corsican nationalist inmate with the status of DPS, highly monitored, to which the island prison is systematically refused on the pretext that it could escape and that it would be dangerous for the Republic, perhaps He is, alone, in the presence, of another DPS?
- How does this other inmate, qualified as singularly violent by penitentiary administration and known for serious attacks in the prison environment, can it be alone with Yvan Colonna?
- Why is the aggressor auxiliary working in prison even though this status is proscribed for violent detainees?
- Why, while the scene is broadcast on a monitoring screen, nobody intervenes?
- Why have the successive interior ministers remained deaf to the President of the Corsica Executive’s Chair on the Threats of Corsican Political Inmates on the part of the radical Islamists?
