Three years later, from the moment of the last release of published The release of the multimedia player MPlayer 1.5 , which provides compatibility with a fresh version of the FFMPEG 5.0 multimedia package. Changes in the new version are reduced to the integration of improvements added over the past three years in FFMPEG (the code base is synchronized with the FFMPEG Master-branch). A copy of the new FFMPEG is included in the MPlayer basic delivery, which allows you to do without installing dependencies when assembling.

Among MPlayer-specific changes :
