This framework has been suspended from its national mandates, but the General Labor Confederation has not given details on the facts or identity of the person in question.
The investigation is in progress. It aims at a member of the Confederal Executive Board of the CGT. The union reported on Tuesday 22 February of a complaint for “rape, sexual assault, torture and acts of barbarism” aiming for a member of his executives, stating that the latter had been suspended from his national mandates, but without give details on the facts or the identity of the person in question.

No comment from the CGT
The Executive Board “decided to suspend this leader of all of his national mandates time that a court decision is rendered”. It reaffirms that the values of the CGT are “incompatible with any form of gender and / or sexual violence,” continues the union.
“If the CGT is attached to the presumption of innocence, it is equally so to the presumption of sincerity (…) [it] will not make any other comments during the time necessary for instruction.”
Solicited by the France-Presse agency, several senior officials of the union have refused to any other statement. Its Secretary General, Philippe Martinez, said the statement “does not require any other comments”, while other officials invited “respect [the] collective decisions”.
A member of the Executive Board has nevertheless specified that “the vast majority voted the suspension in respect of the presumption of innocence and equally in that of the presumption of good faith of the victim”. He added that the unionist in question was “not the best known”, but “already appeared in the media”, and that the alleged victim was “also CGT”.
