Today, on February 16, 2022, the commander of the main crew of the 67th long experiment to the international space station Oleg Artemyev and the flight engineer Denis Matveyev passed the exam on the simulator “Tele operator”.
Before them stood the task of docking the MS Progress Cargo Ship with a station in teleoperator control mode. In reality, the docking must occur automatically, but in case of automation failures, the astronauts take remote control of the unmanned spacecraft for themselves.
In the course of the exam, the crew docked the “Progress MS” ship to the nodes of various modules of the Russian segment of the International Space Station and worked out possible abnormal situations. Roscosmos Cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev and Denis Matveyev perfectly coped with all the tasks.
It is symbolic that per day when the main crew of the ISS-67 passed the exam on the simulator “Telecerator”, the crew of the ISS-66 was preparing for receiving the MS-19 Progress Cargo Ship, which is now on the way to the station. Cosmonauts of Roscosmos Anton Sluffers and Peter Dubrov checked the equipment, which in the case of an abnormal situation, it will be necessary to switch to teleoperative control mode, studied the border documentary and carried out the necessary workouts. Docking a new cargo ship with the ISS is scheduled for February 17 at 10:06 Moscow time.
