Epstein affair: Prince Andrew finds an agreement with his accusing, Virginia Giauffre, to avoid a trial

An amicable agreement was concluded between Prince Andrew and Virginia Giauffre, the American who accuses him of sexual assault in 2001 and wanted to see him judged at a civil law in New York, have Announced Tuesday, February 15, the complainant’s lawyers in a judicial document.

The second son of Queen Elizabeth II, 61, was pursued by the 38-year-old American, an former victim of the American multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, for sexual abuses committed when she was 17 years old, the facts he has always disputed.

The financial terms of the agreement have not been unveiled. Prince Andrew, however, indicated that he would do an “important gift” to an association of support for victims of sexual violence, driven by Virginia Giauffre.

The American justice had found admissible, on January 12, a civilian complaint of Mrs. Giauffre, filed in 2021. This decision opened the way for a trial, which could have been held in the second half of 2022.
