Expansion of cooperation with Hungary in space

Roscosmos State Corporation Dmitry Rogozin and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Siyarto, following the visit to Moscow, Viktor Orban’s Prime Minister signed a statement of intent on further cooperation in the field of space research for peaceful purposes.

Almost half a century, Russia and Hungary fruitfully cooperate in the field of peaceful development of space. Hungary, as a member of the European Space Agency, seeks to broadly and balanced cooperation with its foreign partners in this area. Over the past years, with the participation of various Hungarian and Russian research institutes, universities and companies, the technological and instrumental development of three Hungarian-Russian Space Research projects began:

  • “Chibis-AI” – orbital microstertnik, designed to study the zipper properties;
  • “Situation-2” – a measuring complex located on the outer shell of the international space station, intended to study the interaction of electromagnetic phenomena in the magnetosphere and ionosphere and large spacecraft with ionosphere;
  • “Trabant system” is a fleet of two microsteps that study the dynamics of space weather and ionosphere processes performing continuous measurements of waves and particles at a distance from 100 m to 100 km friend From a friend, rotating at an altitude of about 500 km. One of the important innovations of the system being developed is a uniquely high data transfer rate.

Fruit cooperation of Russian and Hungarian researchers in these three joint projects of space research in the near future will be documented to provide additional tools and resources for project implementation.

Another direction of further deepening cooperation in the field of space can be the organization of the new flight of the Hungarian Cosmonaut, carried out with the assistance of Russia. In 1980, Hungary became the seventh country in the world who sent his cosmonaut into space as part of the Intercosmos program.

We are proud that the technologies created as a result of the Hungarian technical result of the mission of that time still serve as security of astronauts on the Russian segment of the International Space Station. The use of space activities to protect our planet and serving all mankind corresponds to the interests of the peoples of our countries.
