Crews of ISS-67 successfully coped with an abnormal situation during “docking”

Examing training for manual rapprochement passed from the cosmonauts of the main and duplicating crews of the ISS-67. The first to tests on the simulator “Don Union” launched Dubls. The crew commander of the cosmonaut Roscosmos Sergey Prokopyev worked in the descent apparatus, and flight engineer Dmitry Perezin – in the household compartment.

The task of the commander is to control the automatic process of rapprochement and in the event of an emergency situation (refusal of the onboard computing system or failure of the Course system, when there are no range and speed measurements) Go to manual control.

Sergey Prokopyev made rapprochement with the international space station in manual mode and enforced opposite the docking unit of the station with specified parameters using data from the airborne engineer about the range and speed of the ship. During the exam training, the crew worked closer with all the docking nodes existing on the Russian segment of the ISS.

Following the doublers, a similar exam was passed by the commander of the main crew of the ISS-67 Oleg Artemyev and the flight engineer Denis Matveyev.
