Russia and Kazakhstan are going to exchange data from earth observation satellites

On Thursday, February 10, 2022, General Director of Roskosmos State Corporation Dmitry Rogozin and Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Baghdat Musin signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two departments concerning the exchange of data from remote sensing spacecraft Earth.

This document will create a regulatory framework for cooperation in the exchange of data from the Russian and Kazakhstan satellites of the Earth’s observation for peaceful purposes on a parity basis.

The Russian orbital grouping of remote sensing of the Earth includes the “Resource-P” and “Canopus-B” satellites, as well as hydrometeorological “meteor-M”, “Electro-L” and “Arctic-M”.
