On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, the commander of the duplicating crew of the ISS-67 Sergey Prokopyev and his flight engineer Dmitry Perezenin passed the exam on the simulator “Tele operator.”
This is a specialized simulator designed to prepare crews to implement the manual television management regime (from the board of the International Space Station) by the convergence and docking of unmanned objects: the MS Progress Cargo Ship, Modules of Return and other spacecraft.
Single docking occurs in automatic mode. If for some reason it is impossible, astronauts take remote control of an unmanned spacecraft for themselves and carry out its docking with a station in teleoperator control mode.
On the exam, you need to show my skills to docking the ship “Progress MS” to nodes of various modules of the Russian segment of the ISS and work out possible abnormal situations. Cosmonauts perform the tasks specified in the exam tickets. Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Perezenin coped with them perfectly.
Similar trials next week to go through the main crew of the ISS-67, and this week both crew should pass the exam on manual rapprochement on the Don Union simulator.
Recall that astronauts are preparing for the 67th long expedition to the ISS. The start of the Soyuz MS-21 spacecraft is scheduled for March 18, 2022.
