Crew of ISS-67 took part in studies on exit-2 simulator

Experimental studies on the removal of background data of the complicated operator activity on the exit-2 simulator with the participation of the main crew of the ISS-67 expedition took place over the past week. Roscosmos Cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev, Denis Matveyev and Sergey Korsakov are preparing to commit a semi-annual expedition to the ISS. The start of the ship “Union MS-21” with their crew on board is scheduled for March 18, 2022.

Now there is a period of pre-flight research, including the exit-2 simulator with an active suspension system. The purpose of the study is to assess the possibility of an astronaut management system of the Systems of the Systems of Systems and other equipment in the process of gateway and extracurricular activities, the development of individual standard operations and receiving experimental data on the quality of operations of operations.

Type operations, in particular, include: Operations in the gateway compartment (reducing the player, transition to autonomous food, opening the outlet), movement, movement on the stairs (rise and descent), install antenna, docking electrical plugs, control virtual model Vehicle (Rover) and manipulator.

For each session of experimental research, the obtained data are summarized and are issued in the form of a report on the Research Work Report “Constellation-LM-21/22”, which is aimed at studying the possibilities of a person when flying to far space and work on the surfaces of the Moon and Mars .
