Video Since January 28, Canadian roadworks are mobilizing against vaccinal pass, and more generally against health restrictions related to COVID-19. A movement that French roads hope to import into the hexagon.
They do not be “antivax”, simply attached to the freedom of choice of citizens. Since January 28, tens of thousands of protesters block part of the Canadian capital, Ottawa. The reason for the anger of this “convoy of freedom”? The obligation for roadworks led to cross the border with the United States to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
In a dozen days of mobilization, the anger were accentuated and directed against all the health restrictions, but also against the man who puts them in place, the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. The latter took the floor, on January 31, to call the protesters to move away from hate speeches that were spotted in the process. A warning that does not seem to be heard: the situation has taken such a magnitude in Ottawa that the Mayor, Jim Watson, decreed “the state of emergency”, Sunday, February 6th.
In view of the strong mobilization on social networks and the telegram encrypted email application, the movement tries to be exported to France. In shared messages on a Facebook group bringing together nearly 250,000 members, French roads plan to “ride on Paris” on February 14, to express their “ras-le-bowl”.
