Glavkosmos Company (Roskosmos State Corporation) and Bangladesh State Satellite Company Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited concluded on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Memorandum of Cooperation.
Signatures under the Memorandum were set by the General Director of Glavkosmos Dmitry Loskutov and Chairman and Executive Director of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited Shahdzhan Mahmoud.
The Parties express intentions to establish partnerships in order to develop long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of promotion of products and services of the Russian rocket and space industry on the territory of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, including the creation of a satellite system of remote sensing Earth “Bangabandhu-2”, Creating a terrestrial infrastructure (ground satellite stations) to receive remote sensing data from Russian and foreign spacecraft, providing launchers, organization of educational programs in the field of space, commercial orbital flights and the provision of consulting services, “the document says.
Memorandum of cooperation enters into force from the moment of signing and will be valid until December 31, 2026.
