General Designer Design Bureau “Salute” named after V.M. Myzishchev (part of the State Space Scientific and Production Center named after M.V. Khrunichev State Corporation “Roskosmos”) Sergey Kuznetsov spoke about creating a layout of the Angara-A5M launch vehicle, intended for testing on the East space test.
“The East is currently being prepared by the Ground Space Infrastructure for Starts” Angara “- a starting complex is built and workplaces are being built on a technical complex for assembly and preparation for the launch of the Angara-A5 missiles and Angara-A5M. For the testing of the infrastructure, the Khrunichev Center creates a special rocket electrostating layout (“NJ – Ground Liquid”) in order to exclude the risks of damage to the flight rocket, “said Sergey Kuznetsov.
According to him, “NJ” is a dimensional layout of the Rocket “Angara-A5M” in full size.
“those systems that participate in refueling and training on the starting complex, are made in the layout fully functional so that it is possible to work out ground systems with their help before refueling the first flight rocket. Also, the layout will allow you to work on the technical complex all the mechanics collection operations – assembly “Package” rocket, docking steps, holding pneumatic inspections and part of electrical tests, “explained Sergey Kuznetsov.
He noted that comments that may arise when testing with the participation of “NJ” will be analyzed and eliminated. In the future, the layout is planned to be used, including to work out new manned ships, which are planned to be launched from the East.
“Currently released design documentation on the layout, it is manufactured on the Omsk Planner of the Khrunichev Center – the Flight Production Association. Tanks have already been fully cooked, they are checking and assembling universal missile modules, “said Sergey Kuznetsov.
According to him, during 2023, the layout will be tested on the Eastern.
