On January 9, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard of Kazakhstan, Ruslan Zhaksylkov said that about 400 fighters of the National Guard were injured during the riots in the country. In total, 394 National Guardian was injured during the riots in Almaty, Shymkent and regional centers. In addition, more than 90 units of military equipment of the National Guard were damaged.
