According to Chinese statistics, in the first 11 months of 2021, the volume of mutual trade has already exceeded $ 130 billion. With a lot of probability, at the end of the year, the indicator will be more than $ 140 billion, Dakhnovsky noted.
The previous historical record was established in 2019, then the trade between the countries amounted to almost 111 billion dollars. This happened due to the increase in prices and thanks to the increase in the volume of Russian exports to China, energy and food. The share of energy carriers in Russian exports to the PRC reaches about 65 percent.
The volume of coal supplies from Russia to China in dollars rose in January-September by 170 percent, in physical terms it increased by 84 percent. “If there were no pandemic, then we would have come to much higher turnover performance. We hope that in 2022, if the pandemic is retreating, we will achieve a new record,” Torgpred said. Russia in trade with China is important to achieve a goal of $ 200 billion a year and increase the share of products and services with higher value added, it added.
Commodity turnover between Russia and China grew by 33.6 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
