Press secretary of the first president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayeva Aidos Ukibiba called the voluntary transfer of his post of the head of the Security Council of the Republic to the current leader Kasimu-Zhomart Tokayev. It is reported by Tengrinews in Telegram-Channel.
Ukibay noted that the riots and terror demanded from the government of an operational and hard response. All this time, Nazarbayev was in the capital of Nur-Sultan and supported Tokayev.
“However, the situation was very difficult and therefore Elebasi (the head of state – Kazakh) himself decided to transfer the post of chairman of the Security Council to the President, as it was well aware that the riots and terror demanded an operational, hard and uncompromising response from the country’s leadership,” Stressed spokesman.
Ukibay added that Nazarbayev and Tokayev on the days of unrest showed the monolith and unity of state power and were on one side of the barricades, protecting their people, the country and the future of the nation.
Earlier it was reported that Tokayev removed its predecessor of Nursultan Nazarbayev from the post of life of the life of the Security Council, he himself took this position and promised to firmly fight the protests that covered the country because of economic and social problems.
