NATO refused to make Russia for concessions regarding open door policies

The US Permanent Representative for NATO Juliann Smith stated that none of the member countries of the Alliance is going to lead a dialogue with Russia regarding the policies of the organization’s open doors and refuse to go to any concessions. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“From our previous consultations with our allies on NATO, it became clear that none of the allied countries want to negotiate on the possible revision of open door policies,” the postprand noted.

She also stressed that in the United States there are no idea how to negotiate Moscow is going to negotiate with the North Atlantic Alliance, as well as the proposals are preparing Russian diplomats.

Earlier, US Ambassador to Russia John Salvan stated that the discussion in Geneva for security guarantees was not a failure, but negotiations between Moscow and Washington can still break out. In addition, he assured that the American side is still open to the dialogue with Russia on this issue. The diplomat added that the interaction between Russia and the United States can also be built in non-public discussions.
