In December 2021, prices for foods in Russia in annual expression increased by 10 percent compared with December 2020. The most raised food products during the year, dumplings, sausages (both goods are plus 20 percent) and butter (plus 19 percent). This is evidenced by these studies of the manufacturer of the online cash desk “Evotor”, RIA Novosti reports.
Next go bucking (plus 18 percent) and vegetable oil (plus 17 percent). Cigarettes have become more expensive by 15 percent, alcohol – by 5 percent. Prices for non-food products of daily demand on average rose by 3 percent.
Compared to November in December, prices for sausages and sausages increased by 6 percent, on butter, sour cream, pasta and buckwheat – by 4 percent, and fish preserves, rice, cookies, chocolate bars, children’s drinks and water – 2 percent.
Cigarettes and alcohol in December ceased, and non-food products of everyday demand even fell by 3 percent in a monthly expression. Also lost in the price of cocoa, chocolate tiles, dairy desserts and puddings (minus 1 percent), marshmallow (minus 2 percent) and cottage cheese (minus 3 percent).
According to preliminary data of Rosstat, inflation at the end of the year amounted to 8.39 percent. This is much higher than all forecasts that have given Russian departments during the year, and more than twice as many target values of 4 percent.
At the end of December, the Chairman of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina said that food prices went up by 10.8 percent, and vegetables and fruits – by 19.4 percent.
