Advisor to the General Director of the “Opening Broker” on Macroeconomics Sergey Hestov in a conversation with the Prime Agency stated that the main factors of the strengthening of the dollar are the tightening of the US FRC monetary policy and the possible outflow of capital from emerging markets.
The economist stressed that the tightening of monetary policy will slow down the growth of the global economy and the United States. According to him, if the Fed will act not sharply, the influence of a strong dollar will be much weaker.
Earlier it was reported that the dollar and the euro sharply took off against the background of the situation in Kazakhstan, the European currency rose higher than 87 rubles for the first time since August 27, the dollar jumped above 77 rubles, updating the maximum April 21 2021.
