Russia can give a military response to the deployment of NATO strategic arms of medium and low-distance in Europe. The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov was told at a press conference following the results of negotiations with the United States for security guarantees in Geneva. His performance is broadcast by Youtube RT channel.
According to Ryabkov, after the US output from the Treaty on the Elimination of Middle and Less Range (DRSMMD), only one-sided observance of Russia’s moratorium on the development of such weapons did not led to the escalation of the situation in the field of strategic stability.
“If NATO now goes to the deployment of forces and funds, which are very quickly developed in the United States and, perhaps, will be implemented somewhere in Europe, it will require a military response from Russia,” Ryabkov assured. He also noted that such a development of the situation will inevitably damage the US security and their European allies.
