Poland: announced periods of negotiations with Germany about military reparations

Negotiations of Poland with Germany on military reparations will begin in 2022 or 2023. Such deadlines in a conversation with the Polish radio called the Deputy of the Sejm from the ruling party “Law and Justice” Arkadiush Mullarchik, RIA Novosti quotes him.

“If we are talking about the problematics of the Second World War, we know that until today questions are not settled. Until today, Poland’s citizens did not receive compensation and the Polish state did not receive compensation from Germany for the second world war,” – explained the deputy.

According to him, the citizens of Poland there is not enough words of apologies from Berlin, they are entitled to indignation by the position of Germany and German politicians.

In addition, the Mullarchik indicated during the arrival of the Chancellor and the head of the FRG Foreign Ministry to Poland in the fall of 2021 and the Prime Minister of the Countries of Mateeush MOREVETSKY, and the Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau expressed Warsaw’s expectations about reparations. The deputy is confident that during the current convocation of the Seimas “will be put on the negotiating table.”

Polish authorities several years ago demanded from Germany to pay reparations for losses incurred during the Second World War. This topic is regularly raised by Polish politicians, and the country has a special Parliamentary Commission on this issue.

At the same time, in Germany, they emphasize that Poland refused German reparations in 1953, and it is believed that the Polish authorities have no reason to question.
