Detained protesters in Kazakhstan will soften punishment

Detained during the mass riots in Kazakhstan, ordinary protesters instructed to soften the punishment. This was announced in twitter President of the Republic of Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev.

“Persons who committed serious crimes will suffer punishment in accordance with the law. In other persons I will instruct the Prosecutor General’s Office to establish the degree of their guilt. In the absence of aggravating circumstances, take measures to mitigate punishment,” the president commissioned by law enforcement officers.

Tokayev also called the number of detainee protest participants in Kazakhstan. According to him, two thousand people in the republic. Previously, the prosecutor’s office provided its information – according to security forces, two thousand people were sent to arrest, and almost seven thousand persons were brought to administrative responsibility.
