MKS-67 crew prepares for an expedition to orbit

In March 2022, the ISS-67 expedition crew will go to a long space expedition. Oleg Artemyev, Lestishers – Denis Matveyev and Sergey Korsakov were appointed commander of the crew of the ship “Union MS-21”. All three are astronauts of Roskosmos, now they are in intensive mode prepare for flight.

“We are preparing to perform the tasks of the main flight program and to all changes that may occur. If there is an output to open space, it will continue to engage in current activities: scientific experiments, repair work on the ISS. We now have a very tight training schedule for Flight. The MKS-67 crew commander is preparing for its third space business trip. Lestisher Denis Matveyev and Sergey Korsakov will first go to the ISS, but behind their shoulders years of serious training. Oleg Artemyev is confident that his colleagues will successfully cope with all the tasks.

The crew of the Soyuz MS-21 ship fully consists of professional Russian cosmonauts, which are awaiting a semi-annual expedition to the ISS. This was not very long ago, usually among the crew members on the ship was at least one representative of another country. However, already at the ISS, he joined astronauts, and astronauts on the Russian segment of the station worked together. The crew of the ISS-67 was lucky. According to Oleg Artemyev, a significant part of the activities of the 67th expedition to the ISS will be associated with the further integration of the “Science” module and with other tasks provided for by the flight program.
