Funded by the state
The new version of the Paris-Aurillac will be composed of three cars – one of first class bunks, one second and one of seats, or 170 places – which will be separated at Brive-la-Gaillarde (corrèze) of cars heading to Rodez and Toulouse, according to the press release.
The State will finance this serving in the context of the Territorial Balance Train Agreement (TET, or intercity), which it must renegotiate with the SNCF.
The government recently relaunched Paris-Nice and Paris-Lourdes night trains, as it financed the renovation of the rolling stock of the Paris-Rodez / Latour-de-Carol lines (Pyrenees-Orientales) / Port -Bou (idem) and Paris-Briançon (Hautes-Alpes) who had survived the removal of almost all night bonds.
The Minister of Transport, Jean-Baptiste Djebari, further announced in December the creation by 2030 new lines of Paris in Albi, Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) and San Sebastián (Spain), so May Paris in Barcelona and Paris in Toulouse, Montpellier and Marseille. He added Transversal Liaisons Metz / Geneva – Nice / Barcelona / Bordeaux and Bordeaux-Nice.
