Estonia declared readiness to place NATO rapid response soldier

Estonia is ready to accommodate up to 5 thousand NATO rapid response soldiers. This was stated by the Chancellor of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kista Salm, reports TASS.

According to Salma, in terms of deterrent policies, the Baltic region should be strengthened. “There are clear plans, how to do this if necessary,” he added.

The Republic is ready to take up to 5,000 NATO soldiers in the city of Tapa, the military will be able to store weapons and distribute it to units. They will be placed both in barracks and tents. The Ministry of Defense stressed that if the NATO continent will be in the country on an ongoing basis, additional barracks will be built for allies.
