As part of his chairmanship in the European Union, France will offer the Schengen reform. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron, presenting the program of the future chairmanship at the European Parliament session in Strasbourg, reports TASS.
The leader of the fifth republic said that such reform is necessary to strengthen the external borders of the European Union and the control of the migration crisis.
January 1, Macron stated that he changed Slovenia at the EU head, France would strengthen the sovereignty of the European Union. Macron noted that sovereign Europe is, first of all, “Europe, capable of controlling its borders.” According to him, recently the importance of protecting the territory showed the “crisis on the eastern border” of the EU.
