Ambassador of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation Yermek Kosherbayev said that the Russian language does not suffice in the republic. It refuted the relevant information on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”, RIA Novosti reports.
“Kazakh authorities towards Russian languages are very positive, because Russian … is the language of interethnic communication. In our country, the Russian language does not occur, in no way. The development of the Kazakh language does not occur due to the infringement of the Russian language .. . The Russian language is, it will be in Kazakhstan, “he said.
At the same time, the ambassador added that among young people there are elements of cultural removal. “The new generation of people has grown, and it is natural that today we live in independent states for 30 years. And … young people do not always know each other well, they understand what is happening in our countries,” said Kosherbaev.
Earlier, Kosterbaev said that the authorities of Kazakhstan do not intend to pursue a defense policy, all rumors about the systemic oppression of the Russian language in the republic are deprived of grounds. The diplomat noted that in the time of the USSR, most of the city’s urban population began to “lose language” as unnecessary, and he himself simply did not develop.
At the end of December last year, the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev signed a law limiting the use of the Russian language in the service sector. He obliges entrepreneurs to translate all advertising, signs, price lists, price tags and menus to the Kazakh language. The Government and the Parliament of the Republic of Discrimination in the innovation did not see.
