Gazprom refused to help Moldova

Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spõna stated that Gazprom answered with refusal to the “Moldovagaza” request to provide a small deferment in the payment for January deliveries. The official expressed regret that the Russian company no longer wants to help a partner, even if we are talking about such a small amount as $ 25 million, Interfax reports.

In turn, the Prime Minister of the Republic Natalia Gavrilitsa said that on Thursday, January 20, the government will contact the parliament with a request for the introduction of a state of emergency in the field of energy. Such a measure will make emergency measures to provide consumers with gas and prevent stopping supplies.

Spsu recalled that the Government of Moldova fully fulfills the terms of the protocol signed in October last year. In January, all debts for the gas supplied in December were closed. Until January 20, Moldovagaz will translate 38 million dollars of advance from the required 63 million.
