Australian Embassy in Moscow has ceased to be engaged in visa issues

Australia’s Embassy in Moscow, despite the recognition of a certificate of vaccination with the Russian drug from Coronavirus “Satellite V”, ceased to accept applications for a visa. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Australian dipms.

“All visa applications are currently accepted and processed by the Australian Embassy in Belgrade. The Australian Embassy in Russia is no longer engaged in visa issues, as a result of which does not have statistical data on the number of applications taken,” said in the embassy.

The diplomatography explained that the visa statements are processed by the online Ministry of the Interior, regardless of the applicant’s citizenship.

Previously, the authorities of Australia explained to the Russians who have passed the course of vaccination with the domestic preparation “Satellite V”, the rules of entry into the country. The agency noted that the recognition of the effectiveness of the Russian vaccine from coronavirus does not mean the opening of the state borders for everyone. The recognition of the “satellite” will first expand the possibilities for the return of international students, travel of qualified and unskilled workers in Australia, travel of businessmen and elite athletes, noted in the local Ministry of Health.

On January 17, Australia was allowed to enter into the country to foreigners, grafted Russian vaccine against COVID-19 “Satellite V”. It is specified that the decision to recognize the drug to confirm the status of vaccination against coronavirus was adopted on the basis of the recommendation of the National Pharmaceutor.
