FRG Foreign Minister Annala Berbok During the visit to Russia, flowers laid flowers to the grave of an unknown soldier in the Alexandrovsky Garden, RIA Novosti reported.
“The depth of historical ties between our countries served as a reason for me and the reason for the first visit to lay a wreath on the grave of an unknown soldier,” said Sergey Lavrov’s Russian counterparts during the meeting with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
Berbok noted the ambiguous and complex history of Russian-German relations. “The history of our relationship is both pain and the task for all who forms our policies today, tomorrow and for future generations, this is an instruction to reconcile our countries,” the diplomat added.
Berbok meeting with Lavrov took place on January 18th. “During my negotiations in Moscow, it is important for me to designate the position [FRG Cabinet]. The federal government wants a detailed and stable relationship with Russia,” the FRG Foreign Minister said earlier.
During its last visit to Russia in August 2021, the former Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel also laid flowers to the grave of an unknown soldier at the Kremlin walls.
