Apple will be judged due to problems with popular PowerBeats Pro headphones. This is reported by the Edition Appleinsider.
The collective claim was formed and served in the US District Court at the South District of New York. According to the documents, users demand compensation from the company due to defects published in 2019 by PowerBeats Pro headphones. The plaintiffs believe that in their marketing materials Apple deceived consumers, hiding the design deficiencies of the device.
According to judicial documents filed with respect to the company, users noticed a defect, due to which the headphones did not fit the contacts closely during the Case. Because of this, the headset did not charge. Also in advertising, Apple urged that the device has protection against moisture and is intended for sports, but the sweat can get inside the case and cause damage to the device.
The lawsuit was served in the state of New York. After it was joined by the owners of defective headphones from other states, including Georgia, Michigan, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Virginia.
In mid-December, it became known that Apple Watch users filed a group lawsuit against Apple. The smart-clock owners accused the company in the installation of defective batteries, due to which consumers had a risk of getting serious injuries.
