The leader of the rebels who committed a coup in Burkina Faso, – Lieutenant Colonel of Paul-Henri Sanda Damiba – offered to ex-president of Roca Mark Kabore to invite a private military company (PMC) Wagner to the country, but he refused. This is reported by the issue of Daily Beast, referring to sources close to the former president of Burkina Faso.
According to the publication, the calet insisted on the attraction of PMC to combat Islamist groupings. However, the cabo refused and recalled that the attraction of a privately owned company Burkina Faso will coordinate European governments. “The cabo does not want problems with the West because of cooperation with Russia,” said one of the sources of Daily Beast.
In the publication, it is assumed that it was this refusal in the end led to the public version. By tying these events with PMC Wagner, sources did not lead evidence.
The Military announced the dissolution of the Government of Burkina Faso and the suspension of the country’s Constitution earlier this week. Also, the army closed all ground and air borders.
