The Japanese company Axelspace Corporation has signed a contract with the company “Glavkosmos Logging Services” (a subsidiary of Glavkosmosos, is included in the Roskosmos State Corporation) on the launch of four GRUS spacecraft. They will be launched on Russian Soyuz-2 rocket with Baikonur cosmodrome in 2022.
New spacecraft will complement the existing Axelglobe grouping, which now consists of 5 satellites in an near-earth orbit.
GRUS spacecuts are less than conventional remote sensing satellites of the Earth, but at the same time there are capable of making high-quality images with a resolution of 2.5 meters. Initially, since May 2019, the service was provided with one satellite, and from June 2021 five grouping satellites produce shooting, which contributes to an increase in the number of customers services and demand for data from devices in various sectors of the economy worldwide.
