An ex-elected of Allauch, near Marseille, condemned for corruption

Charles Dalmasso, a municipal councilor of Allauch, a municipality of 20,000 inhabitants on the outskirts of Marseille, was sentenced, Monday, January 24, to four years in prison, two years firm for complicity of corruption and obstructing voting operations by fraudulent maneuvers. With the former Socialist Mayor Roland Povinelli – Death in May 2020 between the two towers of the municipal – he tried to bribe a member of the National Front (FN) in 2014 by proposing a job at the town hall and a housing in exchange for “sabotage” from the far-right list.

The former Mayor details: “You do not have a degree, we will put you technical services, you will start at 1,200 euros but if you stay at the town hall, you are holder after two years.”

He continues: “And two, the apartment …” We understand that the elected official calls one of his services then he addresses himself to his interlocutor: “a T2, 55 m², to 400 euros … you can?” Appointment is taken the next day with the head of the communal center of social action.
