Company SUSE introduced Open application Rancher Desktop 1.0.0 , providing a graphical interface for creating, starting and controlling containers based on the Kubernets platform.
Issue 1.0.0 is noted as a stable and marked transition to the development process with a predictable loose formation cycle and a periodic publication of corrective updates. In its destination Rancher Desktop is close to the proprietary product Docker Desktop and differs mainly using the CLI interface Nerdctl and Runtime Containerd to create and run containers, but in the future Rancher Desktop plan to add support for Docker CLI and Moby . Rancher Desktop makes it possible on its workstation through a simple graphical interface to test the developed containers and applications designed to work in containers before deploying them in working systems.
