In the Holding “Russian Space Systems” created and the technology of virtual tests of rocket and space technology using digital twins and machine learning algorithms is already applied. The technique allows at an early design stage to determine how the loads affect the performance of the equipment for satellites. Digital twins increase reliability and quality, significantly reduce the time for development and production, reduce the cost.
Digital twin is a virtual prototype of a real product, an element of equipment or equipment, that is, a synchronized array of useful information that repeats the functions and behavior of the physical object in the virtual space. It exists and develops throughout the life cycle of the product, collecting and processing the incoming data and keep the entire previous story.
An important indicator of the quality of virtual modeling was the accuracy of the results obtained: they are evaluated by comparing with the results of inventory tests. The technique developed in the RCC based on machine learning algorithms, with the help of mathematical calculations and programming collects, accumulates and analyzes information, and also predicts the behavior of the products being developed.
Virtual tests play an increasing role in the stage of ground-based experimental development of confirmation of the resistance of rocket and space technology products to mechanical effects. Such technology allows minimizing errors in the design of spacecraft and significantly reduces the cost of projects. In the future, the technique will improve the characteristics of spacecraft, reduce the costs of production, operation and maintenance of rocket and space technology.
