New Soyuz East gas pipeline, which will be held in Mongolia and China from Russia, can be launched in 2027-2028. The appropriate period called the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Signbayhangyung Amarsaykhan, writes TASS.
Build a gas pipeline will begin in 2024. According to Mongolian official, now the parties plan to start detailed planning and mapping of the project. Works will occupy a year and a half.
January 25 Gazprom reported on the completion of the preparation of a feasibility study (TEO) of the project. The corresponding protocol in the video conferencing mode on January 25 was signed by Sightnagygin Amarsaykhan and the head of Gazprom Alexey Miller. The gas pipeline should be a continuation of “Siberian Power” in Mongolia.
Gazprom and the Government of Mongolia signed a Memorandum on the construction of the Soyuz East gas pipeline in December 2019.
In mid-December, Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the results of the negotiations with the head of Mongolia, Ukhnaagina Hurleshukha stated that the study of the pipeline project from Russia to China through Mongolia is progressing successfully.
