Romania accused Russia in an attempt to create an iron curtain

National Defense Minister Romania Vasile Melku accused Russian authorities in the fact that they are trying to create a new iron curtain. His words reports agency Agerpres.

Melku clarified that we are talking about an attempt to create a new form of reseller of influence on the world arena. “Perhaps, from time to time, it is necessary to conclude new types of agreements between countries, military-political blocs,” the melka noted. Romanian minister also stated that the call of Russia to the conclusion of NATO forces from Romania and Bulgaria cannot be taken into account and suggested that 2022 can become decisive for change at the world level.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russian proposals for security guarantees imply the derivation of NATO forces from Bulgaria and Romania. The diplomat said that it was necessary as part of the implementation of the Alliance Returning Point to the 1997 borders.
