Germany collided with a triple crisis

In Germany, the country stated that the country was faced with a triple crisis. In an interview with the German newspaper Wirtschaftswoche, the leader of the fraction of free Democrats in Bundestag Christian Durr said that in the country problems with demographics, working personnel, as well as the pension system.

For ten years in Germany there is a low birth rate. The reproduction coefficient in the country (1.54), according to Reuters, is below that it is considered necessary to maintain the population (2.1).

Low birth rate in turn led to a shortage of the number of workable population, which has a negative impact on the country’s economy. According to the German Economic Institute estimates, in 2022 the number of employees will decrease by more than 300 thousand people. In 2029, there will be a lack of more than 650 thousand people of working age, and in 2030, Germany will miss about five million workers.

To eliminate these problems, the German government plans to attract 400 thousand qualified workers annually from abroad. According to Durra, the lack of personnel can be solved only by migration policy.

Reduction of labor also negatively affects the state pension system of Germany. After all, the number and life expectancy of pensioners is growing, and the number of workable population, which provides a pension, is reduced.

To attract the working party of free Democrats, together with Olaf Scholts, from the Social Democratic Party and the Protectors of the Environment proposed additional measures. They agreed to introduce a score system for specialists from non-EU countries, as well as raise the minimum wage up to 12 euros per hour.

The Russian labor market is also faced with the workers deficit. The number of open vacancies last fall last year since 2014. Companies lacked more than two million personnel, while unemployment in the country is 4.3 percent.
