Russian light multi-purpose LMS-901 plane “Baikal” can rise to the sky in January. This was announced by the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry of Russia Oleg Bocharov at a meeting on the development of civilian aircraft and renewal of the park of civil aviation aircraft, RIA Novosti reports.

Work on the LMS-901 project began in 2019. A promising aircraft is designed to replace outdated An-2. The serial release of the aircraft is planned to start in 2024.
