Arab countries conceived to dissuade Russia from Iran’s loan on weapons

The Persian Gulf countries are concerned about rumors that Russia promised to provide Iran a loan for the purchase of military equipment. Now the authorities of the Arab states decided to dissuade Moscow from this step, writes the edition of The Arab Weekly with reference to the sources.

According to the edition of Al Arab, Moscow wants to be interested in investments and major economic transactions. Thus, the Russian side will be offered much more advantages than what Tehran ever be able to offer. Otherwise, Iranian proxies will threaten the Persian bay in the conflict zones like Yemen, where the parties continue to direct their military forces.

According to unconfirmed data, Russia is ready to provide Iranians a loan of 2 billion dollars. Such an intention was allegedly expressed during the visit of President Iran Ibrahim Raisi to Moscow and his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
