On Friday, January 21, 2022, Director General of Roskosmos State Corporation Dmitry Rogozin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited the National Space Center (NCC) built in Filly. They inspected the course of its construction and held a meeting with contracting organizations.
According to him, the Basic departments of leading Moscow engineering universities preparing for the industry will also be posted in the NCC.
In turn, Sergei Sobyanin said that the builders had already begun erecting the high-altitude part of the National Space Center. “It is planned that in 2023 the object will be transferred to Roscosmos under development,” he added.
In addition, Dmitry Rogozin called the important achievement of the Roskosmos State Corporation and the Government of Moscow, the preservation of an experienced factory in the Moscow territory of the State Space Scientific and Production Center named after M.V. Khrunichev (enters Roscosmos). “It is here that the third stage of the Angara-A5V carrier missile will be produced,” he said.
The National Space Center is created by the Moscow Government in conjunction with the state corporation Roscosmos on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It will become one of the largest centers of the space industry in the world, combining the leading organizations of the rocket and space industry on the same site: the Central Office and the Situational Center of Roskosmos, industry institutions and the enterprise, youth design bureaus and other objects. Its main architectural feature will be the 47-storey tower with a height of more than 288 meters.
In addition to the construction of the NCC, in the area of Moscow, it is also planned to develop an adjacent released territory of the center of Khrunichev with an area of 90 hectares. Here they will create a special economic zone, the enterprises of the Scientific and Production Cluster will be launched, the social and transport infrastructure will be developed. Congress and exhibition center and renovation objects may also appear.
