Blinken suggested Lavrov to discuss Americans convicted in Russia

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a meeting with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Geneva insisted to discuss the issue of the release of two American citizens prisoners in Russian prisons – Wilan’s field and Trevor Rida. Broadcast publishes TASS.

“These are tourists who arrived in Russia and arrested without presenting a clear evidence of guilt. We once again ask Russia to do the right and allow them to go home,” – insisted Secretary of State.

Paul Wywan was sentenced to 16 years in Russia on espionage charges. He has citizenship of the United States, Great Britain, Canada and Ireland, the defense wants him to serve his term in his homeland. However, the Court of Appeal recognized the lawful refusal to the Supreme Court of Mordovia to consider the issue of issuing the United States of the convict.
