The World Health Organization Committee (WHO) called on countries to cancel or weaken restrictions on international trips. This is stated in a statement published on the WHO website.
It is noted that these restrictions contribute to economic and social stress with which states are faced.
in WHO stressed that these measures did not benefit. This is evidenced by the fact that the Omicron strain of Coronavirus spreads, despite the solution of some countries to introduce travel restrictions.
In the recommendations of the Committee it is indicated that the authorities can take measures to reduce the risk of proliferation of coronavirus, which include tourist testing on COVID-19 or placing them on quarantine. In WHO, it was added that these measures need to be determined on the basis of a “thorough risk assessment”, and they should be applied with respect for the “dignity, human rights and fundamental freedoms.”
