Government of Czech Republic recommended to start a revision of relations with Russia

The Committee of the Upper Chamber of the Czech Parliament on foreign policy, defense and security recommended the government to begin a revision of relations with Russia. This was stated after the meeting, the chairman of the committee Pavel Fisher, it quotes RIA Novosti.

“We recommend the government to bravely begin that revision of relations with Russia, which has promised in his program statement. We also urge the government to not forget to seek apologies, compensation, compliance with contracts and build mutually beneficial relations with Russia,” Fisher clarified.

According to the Czech deputy, members of the Committee understand that this is the task of “for a long perspective.”

Russian-Czech ratio deteriorated after Prague accused Moscow in involvement in the explosions in the warehouse of ammunition in Vrbetice in 2014. The parties mutually sent diplomats, the normalization of relations since then did not happen.

In October 2021, in the Czech Republic, they wanted to take another package of sanctions against Russian officials. The idea was to deprive high-ranking people of Russia opportunities to use Czech infrastructure.
